Agricultural census (15-16)-
About-
conducted at five-year intervals as part of World Agricultural Census Program fully funded by CSS since 1971.
carried in three phases-
-Phase 1- basic info on # of operational holdings, size, social class, gender is collected
-Phase 2- characteristics of operational holdings such as land use, irrigation status- 20% village in each tehsil
-Phase 3- Input Survey.(inputs used in operational holding)
Basic unit- Operational holding- used fully/partly for agriculture
Total Operated area- includes both cultivated and uncultivated provided some part of it is used for cultivation during reference period
