Road transport
The number of roads and vehicles has increased steadly .Today, this is the most suitable form of ground transport for lightweight goods over short distances.
River and sea transport
River transport is limited because it requires lerge rivers with a heavy flow , or flat areas where canals can be dug.
And sea transport is ideal for tranporting heavy goods at a low cost.
Rail transport
From the early 19 century to the second half of the 20 century. Railways were the main mean of ground transport because of they speed and carrying capacity. They are heavily used to the tranport of goods and passengers.
