Tier 1
Breaks
Regular brain breaks
Taylor only have short focus span with ADHD. so it is important to create short activities or have quick brain exercises to refocus.
Quick water breaks
Send Taylor on a quick errand
Use a visual timer to help him know when he is done before he gets going again
When Taylor is showing signs that he is getting frustrated or dis-engaged
Praising
Acknowledge positive behaviours to reinforce such behaviours
When Taylor stayed on track to reinforce the same behaviours
When Taylor completed her work to provide encourage

When Taylor is working independent
Seating arrangements
Sit Taylor close to teacher so he can be monitored closely
Move Taylor away from students to decrease the chances of his interfering with others
Sit Taylor alone if need be to retain focus
Sit Taylor away from busy walls and area to reduce distraction

Break down assignment
Help Taylor focus on one thing at a time.
Taylor can then focus on smaller goals
Increases engagement and doesn't look as overwhelming
Break it into stages if Taylor struggles to know where to start.
Tier 2
Provide sensory tools
Provide him with the sensory input he may be seeking
It will help Taylor focus on the task more.
Taylor may benefit from a weighted vest, or wobble cushion and elastic band at the bottom of his chair
It will allow Taylor to fidget as he works but will guide his attention on the task given
Introduce a fidget tool for Taylor to use

Promote self responsibility
Use it when Taylor fails to behave respectfully

Provide Taylor with more help- one- on-one
It makes it a little more private. Taylor will not feel exposed
Provide counseling when Taylor's needs are greater than those the teacher can provide in the classroom
Session can be scheduled on a weekly basis, depending on the need.
Mentoring
Taylor will feel like someone has their back
Important that Taylor can see that someone else is investing their time.
This may help if other interventions have failed
It can increase student morale
Teach social skills
Increases instructional time
Teaches Taylor essential life skills
Increases self confidence ans self esteem
This can be specific to Taylor's needs.
