Team Games: Handball
Rules of the Game:
No legs, only only passing with hands
-
-
-
To score, you need to make a touchdown (this is when you touch the ball to the line of the opposition, which will be between the goals and not OUTSIDE the LINE)
-
-
No snatching, only intercepting.
If the ball goes out, the opposition gets it.
If a foul is committed, you pass from the point of the foul.
When you receive the ball, you can take 3 steps before dribbling
-
-
If you don’t have the ball in your hand then you can run ahead and support your partner in order for them to pass to you
-
-
Only two people can be near the touch down (goal) line, everyone else needs to be 3 or more steps away. The two people who are defending have to stay one step away from the touchdown.
If there are 3 people in the "d", then the referee will give the other team the possession - 3 steps outside the "d"
From your team, only two people can be inside the "D", but from the opposition team anyone can
If there are aggressive actions taken, there is a 5 minute time-out for the member
-
Resources Required
These will be the resources we require for our games (including field set up, etc)
-
8 Sticks for the goal post, and corners
15 to 30 cones for the borders and to keep the field depending on the game and the “D” for the goals
-
-
We can use a board and stick our rules sheet on it and at the same time explain the rules so the person gets a better understanding and so later on it’s not debatable, also when the play is on we can use that sheet itself and note the scores down on it so again everything is clear.
Whistle, for the referee to grab the attention of all players
