D. When planning a lesson, a facilitator must consider:
- The learning styles of each student.
- Students' cultural background, age, and level.
- Get to know your students since it will help you to plan appropriate activities.
- Estimate the time per activity to develop; in that way, facilitators can avoid students' frustration and irritation.
- Analyze the equipment to use: projector, computer, flashcards, among others.
- Be prepared for the problems that can be arosen when developing an activity.
- Start with a warmup activity to get the students connected with the topic.
E. Plan formats
Plannings can have different shapes. However, it is important to consider the following statements.
- Description of the students: age, level, number of students.
- General and specific objectives.
- Mediation strategies: warm up, presentation, practice, production, and wrap up.
- Some teachers write anticipated problems and its solutions.
- Back-up plan.
- Material that is going to be used in the lesson.
