"paper crumpled" is also more passive than "crumpled paper". Does the paper possess more capacity here? Does the author of poetry prostrate themselves before the page?

Listening for the slow drip of chemicals
"Far springs are what you long for,"
the water imagery continues here. Are the far springs a different form of poetry that the speaker cannot create with the impositions placed on them?
The "Far springs" seems almost paradisiacal, like an oasis. It acts as a respite from the impositions
