The wage gap is still a real thing in the U.S. Especially with coloured women, the amount women are getting payed for the same job as men is quite different. In the June of 1963, the Equal Pay Act was brought in and signed into law. It dictated that men and women must get the same pay for the same job. In an article by CNBC they say, “As it stands, black women earn $0.63 for every dollar earned by their white male counterparts. Native American women earn $0.57 to every dollar, and Latina women earn $0.54. Meanwhile, white women and Asian women earn $0.79 and $0.87, respectively.”
This example relates to inequality and feminism because women and men are not getting the same rights. Women are slaving themselves over the same job men are but are receiving less compensation.
