Climate change occurs when changes in Earth's climate system result in new weather patterns that last for at least a few decades, and maybe for millions of years. The climate system is comprised of five interacting parts, the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere.
cryosphere : places where water is in its solid form, frozen into ice or snow.
biosphere : the regions of the surface and atmosphere of the earth or another planet occupied by living organisms.
hydrosphere : all the waters on the earth's surface, such as lakes and seas, and sometimes including water over the earth's surface, such as clouds.
lithosphere : the rigid outer part of the earth, consisting of the crust and upper mantle.
