Why were castles built in medieval times
Castles were built for the purpose of protection in the late middle ages while the wars were prevalent.

symbol of leadership ,power and wealth!
Feudalism
A system used to organise people in a pyramid according to power. for instance, since peasant had power over no one, they were at the bottom.
the main reason why feudalism wore out was due to the plague/black death.
Criticize
Feudalism was not reliable because the lord of the time may not have always been good and whatever he meant went. if the lord made an order and it was not wise, no one could go against it or else they would be punished.
However, nowadays we have the government and political parties that help organise those in charge in a responsible manner using voting, taking every person in the society's opinion.
compare
school
compared to school, there is quite a bit of feudalism present. Although the feudalism is not used as heavily as it used to in the middle ages, it is still there. for instance, the chair man of the school goes at the top. he gets to tell/order the principle on how to run the school. then the principle has meetings with the teachers and has expectation from them and they HAVE to do as he says.then the students are required to obey and respect every command from those higher than them.
jobs
basically, at the top of the power pyramid is the BOSS. he can tell his colleagues what to do and how to do it or they are fired.
Applaud
one of the advantages of feudalism is that everything is organised and everyone has responsibilities, expectations and goals according to their level of power.
you dont have people killing each other for the purpose of leadership as the decision has been made and they cannot REBEL against it or else they will face punishments and maybe even death.
Barbarian
those from beyond the border of the Roman empire were called BARBARIANS
why has the usefulness of knights declined?
professional armies had begun forming by the end of the middle ages.
Gun powder was invented and the armor and strtegies of the knights were not working/ werent strong enough for the gunpowder.
