Ways to increase fibre
Choose whole cereal such as wholegrain breakfast cereals eg weetabix, branflakes and muesli

Dried fruit such as apricots, dates, figs are high in fibre and can be added to fruit puddings

Adapting a recipe
- Shepherds pie - add vegetables/ lentils.
Boil potatoes in their skins and slice as the topping
- Meat curry and rice - add vegetables and change rice to brown
- Fruit crumble - add oats and wholemeal flour to topping and dried fruit to fresh fruit
- Quiche - make 50:50 wholemeal/ white.
Pastry - add vegetable to filling
