E-Waste
E-waste is a term for electronic products that have become unwanted, non-working or obsolete, and have essentially reached the end of their useful life. Because technology advances at such a high rate, many electronic devices become rubbish after a few short years of use.
Planned Obsolescence
deliberately making products so they would have a fault that after a couple years would show meaning that the customer would have to buy another one meaning that they have to spend more money
Computers use a lot of energy and when a lot of them are in a room and giving off heat they can produce high amounts of carbon monoxide which is obviously poisonous
The materials used to make computers are quite rare and can be hard to bury which means money has to spent in order to bury them.
Ethcial
Computer replacing Jobs. Robots can do jobs faster and more efficiently than humans can and with robots , if the programming , is correct then there is less chance for human error
Lots of people will be left jobless and therefore unable to provide for their family which will lead to them being in poverty and having terrible living conditions
Driverless cars will take the place of taxis , buses and trains laying off millions of people
Cultural
The digital divide
A digital divide is any uneven distribution in the access to, use of, or impact of information and communication technologies between any number of distinct groups; these groups may be defined based on social, geographical, or geopolitical criteria.
