Knowing How information is presented Can improve your note taking . Ex: Chronological order, Cause/Effect, Comparison/Contrast, and Most important to Least important.
Textbook Provides a Great note-taking resource. (If you can write in your book ) It allows you to highlight key points and important information
Cornell System : Divide your paper and use right columns for note taking, left column for asking questions, and last section for summarizing notes as I review them.
Speaker :studio_microphone: Is speaker credible source? How do I know? What possible bias do they have? What is her or her experience with the topic?
Message :email: What is the speakers purpose? What are the details he or she uses to convey message?
Details :mag_right: Is the speaker using facts or opinions? How do I know? Which types of details work best for what the speaker is trying to convey?
Self-knowledge :girl::skin-tone-4: What do I already know? How does what the speaker is saying conflict with or support my beliefs and opinions? Do I feel I have learned something new?
Larger Picture :frame_with_picture: How does what speaker is saying fit into larger picture? How can I relate the message to something I already know about life or world at large? Are there any connections between what I have heard and what I have experienced?
