Hofstede's research
Hofstede made a table to qualify the 4 dimensions in 20 different countries in which there are very different differences in terms of several points of these dimensions.
United States, Canada and England: High individualism and low distance of power.
Sweden and Denmark: Under denial of uncertainty and masculinity
Latin America and Asia: High collectivism and high distance of power.
These investigations are interesting for what they reveal too much cultural information and at the same time they deny stereotypes that we think have certain cultures. We must also take into account that in only one region there is not a single culture but several, which is why studies are not 100% accurate

Hofstede isolated four dimensions that summarize the different cultures, which we will see below
Power Distance : Is the way in how a society approaches
personal differences according to physical abilities and intellectuals, according to Hofstede the cultures with great distance to power are in countries that have large inequalities of power and wealth in exchange those of little distance are totally opposites.
Masculinity or Femininity : Consider the relationships between sexual and labor roles, in male cultures the labor papers are defined and the achievements and power determine cultural ideals, cultures instead female sexual roles are less marked and the difference is little between men and women for the same Market Stall.
Denial of Uncertainty : Refers to the shape of a society so that the individual can handle a situation of uncertainty but clear when denying this concept they give more to their workload, cultures that do not deny uncertainty are more at risk
Individualism or Collectivism : It is centered between the relation of an individual and his peers. Individualists have weak links with others and only value achievements individuals, on the other hand, collective people form strong bonds with others and seek the good of their group.
Culture at work
In an international company with operations in several countries the effect of a society's culture on values of work is of the utmost importance.

Hofstede's work
It represents a starting point for those interested in cultural differences in the administrative area; but you have to emphasize that you have to be careful with the results already which are not exact and can be a serious problem.
He took his research to the next step and realized that there is a new dimension which he called Dynamism Confucian
Understand attitudes towards time, persistence, order, modesty, respect for tradition and return of gifts and favors so it follows that Confucianism is good for growth.
Great care must be taken when dealing with a culture that does not let's know perfectly, because if we say or do something not suitable for that culture we can end up with a business that can fruit. We must bear in mind that a culture is not static, it means that although its foundations do not change to the whole something will continue to evolve according to the pass of the time.
