1920s
Lightbulbs and Electric currents began to be used in modern life and it powered lights in houses, streetlights, heating, signals, locomotives, engines.
1930 (WW2.)
Electricity and the lightbulb has been a big impact on the United States as it has brought a lot of new technology that can be powered by Electricity. Automobiles are now powered by engines and use oil as fuel. Lights are becoming more popular as Electricity is more used now. The military now has more uses for radios and TV because communication is around everywhere for everyone.
1900s
Electricity was mostly found in the 19th century. It was first used in the early to late 1800's by Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla.
The light bulb began to be used by ships and the first ship was lit up in New York City in 1880 by Thomas Edison's light bulbs. The SS Columbia was a ship that went on a voyage.
Electricity begins to be used inside houses and it is used by industries to power facilities. Streets are now using electricity to power lights
1950 (Cold War, Modern)
After WW2, the United States began investing in Electricity and the Light Bulb as much as they could. They began making more powerful engines that could power bigger ships and power bigger buildings. Suburbs began using refrigerators and everyone had a TV and Radio. Everyone also had telephones now in their homes, telephones were used by everyone and they invented payphone(s) for people that weren't home.
Telephones were now beginning to be made into smart phones where everyone could carry them and they were powered by little batteries inside the phones. Solar Energy begins to become public and some people begin to invest in solar energy and wind is now used as a form of electricity to power things. Laptops, Tablets, TVs now have color, Radios now don't usually get static. The internet Is powered by electricity and everyone uses it by using laptops and desktops.
Political
1920s
Electricity is used by almost everyone and it is affecting how people deal with communications with other political figures and how business is done with other countries. Government officials started speaking out in public with mics and electricity is now starting to take over.
1940s
Communication is given to everyone and everyone has access to Radios and TVs. Messages are now sent internationally and people all around the world can meet by talking over the radio or talk on the TV.
1900s
During the Industrial revolution, politically this gave the US a bigger sphere of influence around the globe since more people were beginning to come to America for better jobs and for new industries.
1950s
People now have wider communications with everyone in the world so more information is gathered and people know more about what is going on. The US now is becoming the policeman of the world and it is advertising this by dealing with new technology like
Economic
1940s
New inventions for housing and cars were beginning to be made. Like lights on cars and heating inside cars and trucks. TV and Radios were beginning to be sold to the public and for the military as well.
1950s
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning begins to enter the world and it changes the normal way of life and changed how the industry for cars, housing,restruants,fast food industries. Suburbs are affected by advertisements on TV on what is good and what is bad. Giving industries more power over what is good and what is bad.
1920s
Economically, the Light Bulb and Electricity has had big success in the United States by giving power to multiple things and giving companies a new way to make profits. By giving companies energy and giving them access to now sell Light Bulbs to the public, transportation systems, industries.
1980
Music and TV were beginning to advertise things on their programs that were ran by Electricity and things begin to get taxed and paid for to get Electricity. Solar Energy and Wind are beginning to take over to power electricity and it is affecting life by giving more electricity by not using fossil fuels.
