Abilities
Gained or Obtained
Some Abilities are learnt over years of training through various different methods, and thus overtime of extensive training the user will gain that ability.
There are ways however that abilities can be obtained instead of learnt, obtaining abilities can be done in many ways.
One of the many ways to obtain an ability is to steal it from another user, this can only be done if the user whom wants to take an ability from another posses the power that allows them to steal abilities/powers.
Another way an ability can be obtained is through consuming the knowledge from and ancient relic or script. there is also the option of a dying person to pass on their abilities to another before they die, they can only do so if they choose too.
Either ways of gaining or obtaining are both very effective, and there is no limit to how much one user of abilities can gain/obtain.
Forgotten Abilities
Many forgotten abilities have been forgotten for many reasons, the most common reason is because its such a strong ability that any user learning cant handle the knowledge that comes with it, and thus is locked away for many years till its been forgotten.
Forgotten abilities most often hold great meaning than actual technique within the ability, so they are deemed worthless and are forgotten overtime, but these forgotten abilities are actually the keys to unlocking the truth.
There are many abilities in the world of Ovoa that have been since forgotten too time, but this does not mean that those abilities have been lost forever, there's always ways to still obtain/gain these old abilities.
Reasoning for existence
They were created as a form of art and tranquility, it is believed that once you've mastered all techniques and abilities, your mind becomes free and your body becomes God-like.
Abilities have been learnt and taught for centuries in the world of Ovoa, these abilities have been around since the dawn of time and take many years to master.
Abilities have forever been used in the world of Ovoa a way of protection and defense against anything that can cause harm or is a threat/danger.

Copy
The ability to copy other types of abilities, this is only temporary however.
Focus strain
Allows the user to enter a deep concentration, which allows them to think more clearly in a fight.

Kuku moka
The strongest ability known to the inhabitants of Ovoa, consists of many different fighting techniques, only the strongest can learn to use this ability.
Powers
Gained or Obtained
Most power users are born with one ability that is hereditary, but this does not prevent a user whom is not born with a power to learn/obtain any power.
Powers are very easily learnt, but cost a lot of spirits to use, (Spirits is a form of mana that flows throughout the universe giving itself to whom ever needs it.)
Powers can be bought/sold and even found, they can sometimes be hidden within secured artifacts, these powers are absorbed through the mind and soul, but is controlled by the user spirit.
If the users spirit dies their powers will flow rapidly through out their body causing insane amount of pain till all the power swells up an escapes leaving the user dead, its very rare for someone spirit to die, but there is a cruel power that can do this.
Forgotten Powers
Most forgotten powers a locked away due to having an insane amount of power to cause great devastation.
Some powers are God like and are extremely hard to get a hold of and some are pure evil and are not desired by anyone.
Reasoning for existence
The God's decided to give powers to their creations out of curiosity too see how those civilization would evolve over time, whether they'd go crazy for power or whether they'd be a stable civilization.
Some powers were actually forged by very clever inhabitants of Ovoa, many of these forged powers are actually even more stronger than the ones given by the Gods, this is mainly due to the fact that the great forgers used parts of other powers to create many new ones.
Powers were brought into existence in many ways, it is believed that all powers were given as a gift from the Gods, this is only somewhat true.
