Statistics
"As of 2010, there were an estimated 53,700 sonographers and 219,900 radiologic technologists employed in the United States. Studies show that between 80% and 90% of these sonographers and between 67% and 83% of radiologic technologists report suffering from some type of pain or discomfort while performing work-related tasks."

The job requirements of many radiologic professionals, such as repetitive motion, static postures, and awkward body positioning, have been shown to contribute to the high prevalence of MSK injury or pain.
These types of injuries often cause pain to be localized in the neck, upper back, shoulders, wrists, and hands.
