All states are equal in senate no matter population, its called a deliberative body each senators handle issues that are of specific interest to their committees. Leadership in the state- The vice president in the constitution is the senate's president. Majority and Minority Leaders- the most important officers in the senate, goal is to make sure members attend sessions and get support for key bills
