Ideally storage areas must remain dry to prevent mould growth and water damage. Use protective plastic holders and storage boxes. they protect your documents from light, dirt, dust, insects, rodents and unnecessary wear and tear. Be sure to back up your digital records frequently as computers have a nasty habit of failing and losing data; there are a number of ways to do this and you might consider cloud based storage.
