Projectile Motion

-
A projectile is an object that has been launched, and does not propel itself once it is launched.
-
-
-
The time of flight of a projectile is the time between launch and landing, and is given by Tflight = -2uy / g, when the launch and landing heights are the same.
-
When the launch and landing heights are different, the motion can be broken into two stages, the ascent and the descent, to find the total time.
-
Projectile motion can be modelled numerically, using computer simulations.
Projectile motion can be modelled mathematically, using the kinematics equations for constant velocity rectilinear motion and constant rectilinear motion.
