"As a hybrid school with a significant online component, OCHS did not have clubs or other activities available to students. However, with the introduction of the social network, students started forming interest groups. At the end of the first semester, there was 119 groups in the social network, only a dozen of which had been created by teachers. Students have created all of the other groups on topics such as theater, web design, mixed martial arts, comic books, anime, teen documentaries, film and acting, and writing." (Barbour, M., & Plough, C, 2012, P.10)
I have taken classes through a community college where we have most things online and then meet for labs or exams. That seems fine because I was still. taking in person classes at my HS. Not seeing anyone for a long period of time and being in front of a screen seems too much.
