ntravenous administration,reconstitute 100mg by adding 10ml of sterile water and be used within 24 hours
machanism of action
• Azathioprine antagonizes purine metabolism and may inhibits synthesis of DNA, RNA and protiens. It may also interfere with cellular metabolism and inhibits mitosis. Its mechanism of action is likely due to incorporation of thiopurine analogues into the DNA structure, causing chain termination and cytotoxicity.
