imperialism
definition-When a strong nation takes over a weaker nation or region and dominates its economic, political, and/or cultural life.
In WWI, the world’s largest, richest and most dominant imperial power was Great Britain.They took over Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, several Pacific and Caribbean Islands, South Africa, Rhodesia, Egypt and other parts of Africa.
Countries tried to take over smaller/weaker countries but some other countries did not like that and join to fight.

Definition: An alliance is a political, military and/or economic agreement that's negotiated between 2 or more parties
Cause/impact WWI: Alliances were made to support their alliances in time of aid when it came to war or aggression, they would give weapons or supply materials when needed. many had economic elements like trading, investment or loans agreements

Alliances would also help in a more physical way by bringing soldiers and tanks etc. to aid other countries' militaries
nationalism
Great support for one's nation and no support for other nations.
The difference between Nationalism and Patriotism is that Nationalism support their nation whether they do a good or a bad thing and Patriotism is when they support their country for the good things they do.

militarism
Definition: The believe of a nation providing or maintaining a strong military facility and being prepared to use it aggressively to defend their nation with their armor.
cause: The military were viewed as heroes for their own nations, but for other nations they were viewed as dangerous attackers and frequently committed in ''war talk'' .
why did it started: The war started mainly because of four reasons: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism. This is because big armies become potential threats to other nations and other nations started forcing alliances in order to secure their own land.
