Crucifixion: the execution of a person by nailing or binding them to a cross; the killing of Jesus Christ by crucifixion
Irony of crucifixion and "God Help You": The escalation of sign seemed to go too far with the use of this religious connotation. It is not the work of "God" if a person is threatening to crucify a person. This can relate back to Steinberg's "Act of Gods", where it is challenged that events are not acts of God but instead acts of people
KKK: the Ku Klux Klan was notorious for using burning crosses to terrorize African-Americans (History of the Cross)
-under the assumption that the homeowner who put up did not have any malicious intent except for scaring off looters, s/he should have been more considerate of the history behind the cross. Tying the cross into a situation could mean radicalized and religious connotations that do not effectively carry out the threat and in this case, it seems to escalate further than it needs to be

"President Obama has failed the American people, again."
“zero tolerance for looters who would exploit a natural disaster like Hurricane Sandy for their own personal gain...clear that such lawlessness will be vigorously prosecuted by my office and that we will seek appropriate punishment.” -District Attorney Richard Brown
"Residents from Staten Island to the Jersey Shore have also seen their share of lootings, prompting some to post their own creative warnings"
This was the article that the picture was featured in. It attacks the political figures as if this was their fault for these bad things happening. We see here how people are quick to point blame in any direction, and create problems or drama where there may need to be none.
