pernicious anemia, can be worsen by calcitonin

mechanism of action
- calcitonin inhibits bone resorption and lowers serum calcium, > increases excretion of filtered phosphate, calcium and sodium by kidneys
biophosphonates slow normal and abrnomal bone resorption without inhibiting bone formation and mineralisation
