Sensory Receptors

Based on Stimulus Origin
Exteroceptors - sensitive to stimuli from environment; location - skin, special senses (smell, sight, hearing, taste)

Proprioceptors - sensitive to stimuli from muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints - has to do with stretch. Tells our CNS about our movement. (Proprioceptors are also mechanoreceptors)
