Antineoplastic Drugs
Azacitidine
-
Storage
At the time of reconstitution, the temperature of the diluent was 4°C for samples to be stored at 4°C or −20°C and room temperature for samples to be stored at 23°C. Solutions of azacitidine (10 or 25 mg/mL) were stored in polypropylene syringes and glass vials at room temperature (23°C), 4°C, or −20°C
Indications

Mechanism of Action
Dna Methyl transferase Inhibitor and Incorporates itself Into rna, hence Inhibiting gene Expression.
Side effects
-
kidney failure(uncommon/rare),

Daunorubicin
-
Storage
Store below 25°C and protect from light. After reconstitution Daunorubicin should be stored at 2 - 8°C, protected from light.
-
-
Mechanism of action
Inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis by intercalating DNA base pairs. Inhibits DNA repair by Inhibiting topoisomerase II.
Side effects
Myelosuppression, cardiotoxicity, anaphylaxis (rare), secondary malignancies (particularly acute Myeloid leukaemia and myelod splastic syndrome) and radiation recall.
