        EMOTIONAL TESTING:
        
        Started violently, arms raised + started crying
        
        No fear- Little Albert was a calm and even- tempered baby
        
        Jumped fell forward
        
        Fell forward and began to whimper
        
        Stared, reached carefully, withdrew when nuzzled
        
        Played happily (controlled condition)
        
        More distressed each time, cried + quickly crawled away
      - Rat= fear= controlled response
        Rabbit= fear= crawled away (generalisation of fear) Dog and fur coat= less extreme fear
        No fear to other objects
- - - - SESSION 3= GENERALISATION
        (11 MONTHS + 15 DAYS)

        EMOTIONAL TESTS=
        
        Reactions to variety of objects
        
        Dog, White rat, Rabbit, Masks, burning newspaper, Monkey, Cotton wool
        
        Loud noise made by hitting steel bar with hammer
        
        1ST time- white rat presented and bar struck when he reached for it.
        
        2ND time- Joint stimulation
        
        Shown a rat with no noise
        
        Shown wooden blocks to play with
        
        5 more joint stimulation's (rat and Noise)
        
        Presented with rat, wooden blocks, rabbit, dog, cotton wool, fur coat, John Watson's hair
      - Moved to a well lit lecture room with 4 people present, placed in centre of room on a table
      - Conditioned emotional response was 'freshened up' with more joint stimuli
