- - - - Because of this, from the product analysis within Criteria A, generally website developers adopt the usage of the cold color set, including blues and purples to be the majority. In addition, it also ads variety and balance to the overall website layout through the inclusion of achromatic colors such as black, grey and white. These colors universally connotes the ideas of professionalism as well as a formalism, as many business oriented buildings (such as banks, economic based companies, etc.) have the color scheme of these colors (with the exception of some to have dark reds, oranges, etc.).
    - - Colors such as bold reds, oranges and/or yellows are known for their distinct bright outlook as well as sometimes being painful if looked upon for a long time. Additionally, in contradict to the paragraph above, greys are known to be too monotone (depending on the shade of grey chosen) meaning that it would create a mood of 'muted' or 'boring' website.
        
        However, if one were to use the bright colors, it should be 'neutralized' or balanced in two ways in order to avoid creating a color scheme of extreme boldness and causing unnecessary visual discomfort for the viewers:
        
        It could firstly be done by having an analogous set of yellow, green and blue. With the inclusion of blue, it further expresses the formality of the website's information, while the green is being used as a neutralizer in order to balance out both of the primary colors. However, I would personally state that the green and the blues should display a darker tone, with a variety of yellows throughout the website as a way to vary the color choices.
        
        Another analogous set that could be used would be the use of dark red, violet as well as blue. All three colors are seen used within formal and professional environments as stated before, and the introduction towards the red makes the website's overall theme to be bold (thus meaning that this theme of "boldness" should be consistently carried out throughout the websites).
  - - - The organization of the design layout is crucial to the product's success, as it allows for the information presented within it to be efficiently presented towards the users. In order to accomplish this, it mainly involves the separation of these information based on its content, as well as how one web page will allow the user to be directed to a different area of the website in order to acquire more information (if they choose to).
        
        The different web pages is a tool towards the website developer to efficiently categorize the information it would like to present to its viewers. While separation via paragraphs is another way to do so, when it comes to major sub topics such as the presentation of other sources, or the introduction to a different aspect of Computer Science, the inclusion of a new web page would be most efficient.
        
        When referencing how one web page allows the user to be directed towards another area of the website, could mean the usage of hyperlinks, which enables the user to quickly obtain other relevant information that they might want to acquire. Additionally, it doesn't have to be on the same website, rather it could direct them to outside sources such as a page where the user can download a book useful for the topic, or to a website that stimulates the users mind as well as educate them on the topic through a different way other than visual learning.
      - When it comes to how the information should be visually presented towards the viewer, this includes on either how the theme of the website 'interacts' with the information, or how the font sizes, font type, and structure of the information helps to enhance the overall visual qualities of the website as a whole.
        
        Referring to how the theme of the website 'interacts' with the information presented, means on how I would be able to use my theme in order to present the website material in a creative way. An example could be that if the theme of the website were to be of the environment and deforestation, I could have the inclusion of leaves and falling petals be the background of the information paragraphs. This way, it then creates visual interest and creativity towards the viewer thus making the website look more professionally designed.
        
        In a more technical perspective, when looking at the font sizes and the font type of the text itself, it relates to how the users themselves can visually perceive the information. This means that the size and type of the font should be appropriate in both the theme of the overall topic (i.e. avoiding Comic Sans) as well as appropriate to how well the user can see the information (perceivable font size for the Grade 11's).
- - - - There are multiple ways in order to make sure that the content provided on my website would be reliable towards its users. Some of the major ways to do so is by making sure the author in the websites that I will use in order to research on a topic is reliable, making sure that my research is updated, as well as if there is any statistics of facts in separation to the bias and opinions of the author themselves (unless I am specifically looking for said opinions).
        
        Reliability of information is dependent where the author of the source obtains said information. This is due to how reliable to original source is, and thus by checking if it is a trustworthy source, allows for the collection of information to be regarded as correct and relevant to the topic. One of the ways of doing so is through looking into the developer of the source with their professions since it provides to the user if the author has the "right" to present the information about a specific topic.
        
        It is easy to forget if the information provided within a website is reliable by disregarding the date in which it was published and uploaded onto the digital world. The date of publish on a website is crucial to understanding whether the information could be relied on due to how it could easily be outdated and irrelevant to current situations. This is especially applied to websites that provide statistics on (for example) a survey or a conducted study as these could change over the years/months. To avoid this, I would need to look at websites that are of relevance by accessing sites that were released recently (specifically around 2015/2016 and above. The more recent the information was released, the more reliable the websites content will be).
        
        Finally, it is possible that the information on a website could be unreliable due to the actual content presented in it. Specifically whether the author themselves has included any of their personal opinions and/or bias into the website. This prevents from the users who access their product to firstly collect unnecessary information, as well as collecting content that isn't factual and thus beneficial towards their learning. This is true in the case that the targeted audience is the Grade 11's.
        
        However, it should be noted that there will possibly be tines in which the opinions and perspectives of a person would be beneficial in learning about the subject. If so, then it should firstly be coming from a reliable source (in reference to the their profession as stated previously), as well as making sure that their quotes should be in relevant to the information you will provide on the website.
  - - - In terms of the terminology and vocabulary used within the content of the website, it needs to firstly be accurate by using them correctly and in the right context. This is because it allows the viewer to understand these new terms, and understand on how to use when further studying their course. Additionally, the wording overall on the website should be formal as well as intellectual as the product needs to be consistently professional.
      - The content of the website needs to be in relative to what the audience wants. This means that it should contain information that is firstly linked to the topic, as well as information that is useful and specific to a certain aspect of the subject (this is clear since Computer Science is a subject that has multiple "subtopics")
        
        The content shouldn't be off topic, and must stay connected to the original subject of the website (in this case, Computer Science). Examples to things that should be included are other sources that talk about the subject, introducing the course, as well as general facts. To summarize, data that isn't in correlation to the topic shouldn't be included in the final product as it is highly unnecessary as well as how it is highly irrelevant to the students and thus wasting their time during their studies of the subject.
        
        Having information that is specific is incredibly crucial to a subject that has many subtopics (including the other courses under the topic, what is it used for in the modern world, etc.) as it allows for the viewer to gain definitive data that they would need during their studies. Furthermore, due to the students choosing specific aspects of the subject to research on, the inclusion of organized and separated information based on their subtopic allows them to efficiently obtain the material that they would need when studying the course.
- - - - These include not having to pay for other sources that are provided on the website as additional information on the topic of Computer Science, as well as they would obtain free information on the general syllabus content that the IB Curriculum will be expecting from its students. Although this is due to allowing the students themselves to understand the course they are taking without any adversities that they may face and avoiding a disadvantage on students who aren't able to purchase these sources and some who can, it should be noted that other websites, especially the IB Curriculum freely provides this data to its users as seen in Criteria A.
  - - - The only prices that are possible to come by when developing the website would be when I would want to purchase either the full version of the website manufacturing program in order to access more tools and a wider variety of ways to improve the quality of the final product. This doesn't need to be included as it is firstly unnecessary and a waste of money as the necessary components into creating a fully functional and high quality website is already possible on a free trial. Additionally, I am fairly confident in my skills and my ability to quickly adapt and understand different programs (within my skill level) to create a professional and informative website without the need of paid plans (mostly revolves around me locating sources that helps me understand the program better such as videos).
      - Additionally, it is also possible to take into account the price of the program itself, as some such as Gator by Host Gator that runs on 3.84$/month, and BigCommerce that costs 29.95$/month. These plans are due to the program being used by business companies that are using them to display their products, or general information on their specific company. However, I believe that these programs are unnecessary as they are in my opinion firstly a waste of money since there are other programs that are free and can produce similar quality websites. Additionally, it avoids a highly possible situation in which the program is complicated to operate and thus wasting time and money (even with the assistance of video tutorials).
- - - - This leads to the product not being able to produce any toxic waste or otherwise avoid any materials that would be wasted and thrown unnecessarily to the trash and be of harm to the local environment, for the chance that they won't be recycled.
      - Long term, the information provided by the website could assist future engineers, architects, doctors and other professions that use Computer Science, resulting in a possible increase of Computer Science graduates. This could then lead to better research on technology and how it could benefit other studies such as improving the way we can take care of our environment, or a more effective and environmentally-friendly way to produce products.
    - - In e-Waste, due to the fast development of technology results in the high rates of old generation technology to be thrown out, with their parts thought to be useless. Contributing to many landfills and less than 20% are being properly recycled ("What is e-Waste", 2011.), the non-biodegradable materials that are used to manufacture these laptops such as metals, wires, etc., negatively impact the local environment with their toxic chemicals said to make local land Environmentally Sensitive.
- - - - To avoid this from happening, I will be able to input within the website a sudden pop up that takes up most of the user's screen that will be indicating for them to take a break and have a rest for 5 minutes. This will be at 1 hour intervals in order to constantly remind the user how long they are staying on their laptop.
  - - - Additionally, Muscle Fatigue and Muscle Stiffness is common if the person stays in a posture (whether comfortable or uncomfortable) for long periods of time that could decrease the muscle's performance and therefore impact the quality of the produced work.
        
        Similar to what I had said previously on the topic of Computer Vision Syndrome, I will input a pop up on the website that will remind the user to take a break and get away from the computer for 5 minutes in order to compose themselves. It could also provide some tips on how to stretch on the spot and massage specific areas on the body to relieve discomfort in the muscles.
- - - - Having the appropriate sizes in terms of the pictures, means that there should be a balance in the amount of space the image and the main text (and other context) takes up on a single web page. Although it is acceptable to have variety in the way the pictures are laid out on the website, being generally balanced between the two allows a visually pleasing design layout. Additionally, the sizes of the pictures have to be big enough in order for the viewer to clearly understand the information it is conveying (varies depending on the context of the image).
      - The resolution of the image should also be taken into account as it allows for the information it is presenting to the viewer to be clearer. This applies to images that showcases diagrams and informative labels, which are crucial to be obtained effectively by the user. In this case, the resolution of images should be around 1,040-2,000 dpi.
  - - - When talking about the position of the context on the website layout, relates to how font size can be used as a way to help navigate the user's eye from one area of the web page to another. Without these being included will highly impact the visual quality of the overall design layout of the website, as explained further on.
        
        This is evident when a larger font size allows for them to understand a change in subtitle or topic. However, there should be a clear balance in order to not "overdue" the different font sizes, which can result in them being distracted by the actual information that the website is trying to convey. Additionally, if having a large variety of font sizes can also result in making the design layout look extremely complicated and aesthetically displeasing.
        
        This goes the same if the font sizes are highly consistent and not having enough different sizes throughout the website layout. An example is if subtitles and the main text are similar, which results in firstly the lack of distinction between the change of context, as well as makes the overall visuals of the website look both incoherent as well as monotone.
      - By making the font size consistent (in the sense that subtitles and the main text are the same font sizes respectively throughout the website) firstly makes the overall design layout to be organized and visually pleasing. Additionally, by having appropriate font sizes (especially on the main text) is crucial in order for the information to be clearly interpreted and presented to the viewer thus making it easier for them to comprehend it. To be specific, in my website I would make sure that the subtitles and subtopics are of font size 14, the main text to be 12 and the title for both the website and the web pages to be of 20 (captions for images and videos are to be in font size 12).
- - - - The reliability of the information within the website will then dictate on how successful the client would be as it effects on the information that they would gather from the website. Specifically, if the information is outdated (such as statistics, procedures, etc.), it can not be used as it can impact the conclusion the students may develop throughout their learning process. Additionally, the website must be able to have a lot of specific terminology that is in relation to the selected web page in order for them to be able to understand their course in an effective manner as well as enable them to describe specific actions to the course in a formal and professional tone.
  - - - The reason as to why I would need to include both primary and secondary sources is for them to be able to expose themselves to a variety of information sources. Secondary would be majority originating from websites and other links online that provide these information, while Primary sources could possibly be audio of reliable people explaining the course towards the user. The difference of these two source examples allows for the students to adapt and understand how to utilize this source to their advantage, which is a skill that would be extremely useful within any of their careers and future lives post-graduation.
      - The type of source is another important factor when it comes to presenting different sources, as it also allows them to develop the skill to collect, gather and organize information from different types of sources. These include websites, speeches, books, audiobooks, etc. This then allows for them to fully be comfortable with this skill in the near future, while also assisting those who might not be comfortable analyzing sources in text because they are more of an auditory learner.
