Baryons are composed of odd number of quarks, usually 3.
-
Mesons
They are composed of even number of quarks, usually one quark and one anti-quark.

Quark Confinement
2 up & 1 down quark making up a proton have a mass of 8 MeV, while a proton has a mass of 938 MeV
The energy difference is explained by quark confinement which is dictated by Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, which confines the quarks in a limited density field.

Adding Fractions:
Step 1: Make sure the bottom numbers (the denominators) are the same
Step 2: Add the top numbers (the numerators), put that answer over the denominator
Subtracting Fractions:
Step 1. Make sure the bottom numbers (the denominators) are the same
Step 2. Subtract the top numbers (the numerators). Put the answer over the same denominator.
