How are the flaws introduced to the story
Underneath a layer of foolishness, Feste gives wise advice even though no one may realise.
He can be boring at times
Back story (made up)
I think that Feste had grown up in a family of 5 children with a stay-home-mum while his father worked in the fields. Life was hard so, Feste would make jokes to try and lighten the mood. He then went to Illyria to earn money once his father had died.
When Lady Olivia is mourning for her brother, Feste talks to her however, Olivia is not happy as he is not funny and never turns up when he is meant to.
External conflicts
Feste has an argument with Malvolio about whether or not Malvolio is going mad. He also argues with Lady Olivia on who exactly is the real fool.
Inner Journey
Fears
Nothing
Memory
I think Feste would want to be remembered for the person who always told the truth and gave smart comebacks.
Motivations
I think he would be motivated by the people who are genuinely foolish and the occasional tips he receives.
Mask he wears to hide him from the world
I think he wears the a 'mask' of bravery that helps hide that he is sometimes scared and afraid. He might also wear a 'mask' of importance to cover up how low down he is on the social pyramid.
