If they don't live in all oceans, why don't they live in certain ones?

All 7 species of sea turtles are either endangered or threatened. This is because they are over harvested for meat, leather, and their unique shells. This is still a problem because they are dying from getting caught in traps and eating litter, but all species are protected.
There are now laws to protect all sea turtles from poaching, and being traded. People are also trying to work on new boats that can avoid catching animals in their fans.
They have been around since the time of dinosaurs, for about 110 million years.
Sea turtles live to be around 30-60 years old, but a documented case has said that one lived healthily for 150 years.
