Formative
Formative Assessment: A way to assess students by giving in-process assessments to check for student comprehension, learning needs, and academic progress during a lesson or unit.
Kahoot: Students answer questions in the form of multiple choice or true/false. Its a fun way to quickly assess students in a fun interactive way.
Think-pair-share: Students think about a question or a topic you asked then they turn toward their carpet partner to talk about what they thought about. Teacher can walk around and listen to students talk. Then after a few minutes teacher can call on some partners to share what they talked about.
Interim/Benchmark
Interim/ Benchmark: A form of assessment that are used to evaluate where students are in their learning progress and to determine whether they are on track to performing well on future assessments such as a end of course exam or a standardized test.

Diagnostic
Diagnostic Assessment: A form of assessment that occurs before instruction begins, like a pre-assessment. It is to find out what the students already know and what they do not know.
Google Forms: Students take a quiz or assessment on a topic and answer it to the best of their ability.
Exit ticket: Students can jot down the answer to a teachers question before the lesson is taught. Teacher can then check the tickets to see what students know about the topic.
Performance
Performance Assessment: A form of testing that requires students to perform a task rather than take a test.
Poster Board Project: Students can create and design a poster board based on the topic given by the teacher. They can put information and illustrations and present them to the class.
Research Project: Students have been learning about researching a topic for example a cheetah and making a class research book together. Students can then do their own research on an animal and create it into their own book. They present and read their book to the class!
