Think- Pair- Share: Teacher asks question, students answer then share with pairs for discussion.

Interim/Benchmark
Chapter test: a formal assessment that is made out of different sections and provide opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding.
Research project: A research project that can be graded with a rubric. Feedback is provided for all students before moving on to the next portion of the content. Understanding of content is priority.
Summative
Historical figure research paper: Can test the students skills and abilities that include rigorous opportunities. High stakes or high of value.
Multiple choice unit test: A overall unit test can test the skill of the student that can be of great value. These test show mastery of the content.

Pre test: Allows educators to activate prior knowledge and understand what the student knows before entering content.

Exhibits and Fairs: Allows the students to present a project to others. Provides opportunity to explain their work and feel proud of their accomplishment.
