Formative
Definition: A formative assessment is the process of gathering information of your student's achievements and being able to give feedback and adjusting instructional strategies to ensure success for our student's. These forms of assessments have little to no grade point value.
3:2:1 Exit Ticket: Students will write down three new concepts that they had learned from the lesson, two things they found interesting and ending with one question they have about the lesson

Summative
Definition: A summative assessment are formal assessments used to measure what students have learned at the end of a lesson.
End of unit assessment: Students are capable to take a test at the end of a lesson or periods of lessons to allow the teacher to see what the students learned and what may need to be revisited before a state test.
Final Exam: Students are capable of taking a test at the end of the semester or year to see what knowledge stuck with them to carry onto the next grade level over everything learned in the classroom for the calendar year.
Performance
Definition: Performance Assessments are used to show how the student is doing on a particular task rather than a test or answering questions to seek if our students are understanding.
Mind Map: Students will create a mind map in order to show their understanding of the lesson.
Debates: Students are capable to debate with other students in order to voice their understanding a viewpoint of the lesson.
Diagnostic
Definition: A diagnostic assessment are used as a form of a pre-assessment to determine the student's strengths or weaknesses before an assessment is given to ensure the teacher can correct any misconceptions.
KWL Chart: Students are able to state what they already know about the lesson, what they want to learn about the lesson and once the lesson is complete are capable to state what they have learned about the lesson.
Pre-Tests: Students can take a pretest to see what they already know about a topic on google forms and then learn about the different answers they may have gotten incorrect in the lesson.
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: Interim/Benchmark Assessments are used to see where students are in their learning and determine if the student is at the right place for future assessments and grade levels.
STAAR: Texas standardized test given to students to assess knowledge learned and achievements in the grade level.
MAP: Computerized test to show student achievement in both math and reading.
