Nicotine is a major chemical used in vaping. It is highly addictive, and can cause many harmful affects. Once it is in the body, it can reach the brain in just 20 minutes and the effects are felt within 1 minute.
The vapor has been found to contain flavors, polypropylene glycol, glycerin, nicotine, tiny amounts of toxic-ants, carcinogens, heavy metals, and metal nano-particles, and other harmful chemicals.
Short Term Affects:
The chemicals in E-Cigarettes has effects on the shortness of your breath, causing increased airway resistance.
There can be chest pains and maybe sometimes even nausea after using e-cigarettes.

E-Cigarettes are used more then drugs because it is easier for teens to acquire e-cigarettes rather than drugs. They are easier to purchase and find then drugs.

Chemicals in E-Cigarettes can damage lung tissue, provoking inflammation. That damage can reduce the ability of the lungs, and can cause lung cancer.
Vaping can also harm brain development, especially to young teens who aren't fully developed yet. Nicotine exposure during adolescence and young adulthood can cause addiction and harm the developing brain.

E-cigarette cause a health risk to young people because it increases the possibility of addiction and long-term harm to brain development and respiratory health. Even breathing e-cigarette aerosol that someone else has exhaled poses potential health risks.
