Assessments
Interim
Is a form of assessment that educators use to evaluate where students are in their learning progress and determine whether they are on track to performing well on future assessments, such as standardized tests or end-of-course exams
Benchmark Assessments are given periodically (e.g., at the end of every quarter or as frequently as once per month) throughout a school year to establish baseline achievement data and measure progress toward a standard or set of academic standards and goals.
STAAR Test are designed to measure what students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade.
Diagnostic
Is a form of pre-assessment that allows a teacher to determine students' individual strengths, weaknesses, knowledge, and skills prior to instruction.
Pre Test Are test that the teacher gives in order to find out what the students already know about he upcoming topic
KWL Chart Allows the teacher to know what the students know and need to know and what they want to learn.
Performance
Measures students' ability to apply the skills and knowledge learned from a unit or units of study. Typically, the task challenges students to use their higher-order thinking skills to create a product or complete a process
Google slide students will create a google slide show that shows the content over the topic that is being discussed and present it to the class.

Summative
Is to evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark.
Final project Is a project that is used to review what they have learned throughout the year in the form of one big project over a certain content area.

Formative
Serve as practice for students, just like a meaningful homework assignment. They check for understanding along the way and guide teacher decision-making about future instruction; they also provide feedback to students so they can improve their performance
Think-Pair-Share
This is one of the many formative assessment strategies that is simple for teachers to use. The instructor asks a question, and students write down their answers. Students are then placed in pairs to discuss their responses. Teachers are able to move around the classroom and listen to various discussions
