Can resist antibiotics
Information- In most GMO's there are many different germs. These germs affect almost two million people per year. MAny seeds and plants are mixed with GMO's and unfortunately, people and scientist believe that during the process of modifying these foods germs are mixed into the chemicals. With the germs getting into the mix of these modified foods it is getting the consumers sick and is resisting antibiotics leaving the consumer helpless
Quote-
“According to the CDC, antibiotic-resistant germs infect two million people each year. Those infections kill at least 23,000 people per year”( GMO’s Pros and Cons)

Lack of GMO labelling
-
Chipotle and whole foods are one of the very few companies in the USA that do not sell GMO foods and if it does have GMO;s they label the items under GMO food.
QUOTE- "Five years ago, Whole Foods first announced its plans to adopt stringent mandatory labeling on products containing GMOs by 2018. In 2013, Walter Robb, who was then co-CEO, said in a statement that they [“are putting a stake in the ground on GMO labeling to support the consumers’ right to know”( Whole Foods halts plan to require mandatory GMO labeling).
Claim One Benefit of GMO's is the chance to produce more food while still using less water. This is a benefit because in more rural areas that are in poverty they can receive more food for a cheaper price.
Evidence "Prices of wheat, rice and corn climbed to records this year and the World Bank has warned that could push 100 million people deeper into poverty and provoke civil unrest in more than 30 countries. The U.S., Canada and Argentina already use GMO technologies for crops including corn, soybeans and canola. . .To feed the growing population, farmers worldwide will increasingly adopt gene modification technology as crop production is constrained by weather conditions,''' (GMO Wheat May Help Solve Food Crisis, Australian Scientist Says)
COUNTERCLAIM: to make the GMOs not have to use as much water what chemicals were used and is it toxic to human life?
Claim A harmful affect of GMO's are the chemicals going into them and the lack of labeling because it does not inform the consumer of what they are putting into their bodies.
Evidence " But the new GMO labels have fallen short, failing to provide clarity for consumers and offering substantial loopholes for the farming industry" (New GMO Labels Fail Consumers, Lack Transparency) .
Evidence "GMOs are not currently labeled in the United States. . .Most packaged foods contain ingredients derived from corn, soy, canola, and sugar beet — and the vast majority of those crops grown in North America are genetically modified" (GMO Facts)
