People don't know they are allergic to the food that they are eating because they don't know what DNA is in the GMO.

CLAIM:
One strong benefit of GMOs are that they can provide more crops which means more food for people who are otherwise starving.
Evidence: “One of the major advantages of GMOs is that they help increase the production rate of crops, which can have a significant impact in countries faced with food shortages and famine. As such, GMO crops can help fight malnutrition around the world, according to a 2016 study published in Theoretical and Applied Genetics.” (Pros and Cons of GMO Foods).
COUNTERCLAIM(Teagan): But how would the food get to people who need it if the country decides to ban GMOs?
Counter argument: the country won't ban GMOs because if they did, a lot of companies would go out of business. The country wouldn't have enough food because there are no GMO foods. Then, people would move somewhere else because they don't have enough food.
