  - - - What happens during Baptism depends on Gods Grace and not human understanding: Roman Catholics, Orthodox and some Church of England see Baptism as a sacrament and is seen as a change of the human soul by God. This means that Baptism does not depend on a persons actions but by God's grace, which is a mystery that cannot be understood by humans of any age because God is too divine for us to understand. Therefore, even new born baby can receive the grace of baptism since they have a soul.
        
        Many believe that everyone is included in God's grace. A baby receives grace through their bondage with their parents who are associated with the church. No baby is excluded. Children cannot understand how to approach God in faith. Jesus also supported the belief that all children are welcome in the Church, and can receive holy communion if their parents feel they are ready. Jesus did not baptise infants that where brought to him.
      - Removes original sin from an early stage in life because we are all 'semiannually present in the loins of Adam'. It gives Christians an opportunity to live their early life with Gods grace and be part of the church which would not have been received with the presence of original sin. Because they are redeemed, even if a child dies early they can still enter the kingdom of heaven.
        
        Baptists do not believe in original sin, but they do acknowledge that people may behave in sinful ways. This is very natural for young children, but can only have regret when they are older, so can only be officially cleansed form their sins as adults. They have to make a free choice in living a life without sin.
    - - Baptism is in ordinance Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations and to baptise them. A baby or infant cannot become a disciple since they are too young to understand the Christian faith. Instead, the Church should do as Jesus commanded and welcome families into their communities and adults should set a good example.
      - Jesus was Baptised as an adult, when he was 30. When Jesus had met his cousin John in the river Jordan he had already developed his faith and personal relationship with God.
      - Book of acts doesn't describe paedobaptism: and only mentions adult baptism. In Acts 8:26-40 before Philip baptises the Ethipoians, a teaching about Christ is given.
        
        Children will be initiated into the Church: With the help of their godparents and the Church, children will learn to live a Christian life in accordance to the life of Jesus, and attend Church. This will help them during conformation. This is supported in Luke 18:15-16 'Let the children come to me; for, and do not hinder them; for the such belongs to the Kingdom of God.
