PRESENT CONTINUOUS
THEORY
It is the verb tense that we use to describe actions that are occurring at present, that is, at the moment in which they are speaking.
BUILDING
It is composed of the subject + present of the verb "TO BE" + verb ING
you are playing fotball
it usually contracts when talking
I am looking at the map = I´m looking atthe map
AFFIRMATION
I am playing
you are playing
He/She is playing
We are playing
you are playing
They are playing
NEGATION
I´m not playing
You aren´t playing
He/she isn´t playing
we aren´t playing
you aren´t playing
They aren´t playing
QUESTION
Am I playing?
are you playing?
Is He/She playing?
are we playing?
Are you playing?
Are they playing?
ING
The form verb + ing is called participle of present (gerund)
to form the present participle, it is enough to add ing at the end of the verb
mix=miing
talk=talking play=playing
RULES
the verbs ending in consonant + "e", the final "e" is omitted in front of the ING
Survive= surviving
Write = Writing
the verbs ending in "ie" change the "ie" for "Y" in front of the ING
Die= Dying
Lie= Lying
If the verb ends in a consonant and is preceded by a vowel, the consonant is doubled or doubled followed by the ING
Swim= Swimming
Run= Running
Stop= Stopping
(excepto para verbos que terminan en R, W, S, X, Y, Z)
Verbs that do not imply physical or mental movement such as: undrestan, like, want, etc. they can not carry present continuous
if the verb ends in two consonants or in two vowels and a consonant is only added ING

Verbs that express sensations: feel, hear, see, smell
Verbs that express possession: belonging, owning, possessing :
Verbs that express feelings or emotions: longing, detesting, disliking, fearing, hating, liking, loving, respecting, wanting, desiring. :<3:
Verbs that express mental activities: agree, believe, forget, know, realize, recognize, remember, suppose to think or understand.
