Heterogeneous groups with stronger students for mentoring
Homogeneous groups with the teacher for 1 on 1 instructions. Usually done during tutoring time, or when stronger groups have another task
Possible Special Needs
Tracking of Student over the course of a few weeks see if special needs intervention is necessary
If it is, then a 3 tiered RTI plan will be needed
Differentiation in instruction methods. The Teacher should incoporate various audio, visual, kinesthetic, or movement based instruction to see if there is a different result
If there is, the teacher should incorporate these methods in their instruction more often
If not, the student should be screened for special needs
Separate instruction into smaller chunks. This would allow these students for follow more easily without getting overwhelmed.
Question time: The teacher can provide a time at end of the lesson where students are working on their assignments, where they can approach the teacher 1 on 1 for extra help on topics they did not understand
