Technology has come so far that we now have google translate however people are hesitant to listen to an electronic voice or the pronunciation may be off.
Tone of voice
Their tone in their language may sound rude to someone who can't understand what they're saying
Dangerous
While driving as they may not be able to read road signs which can result in an accident or the road rage of another could make the situation violent.
Not understand warnings for danger for example dangerous currents warning and rip warnings at the beach.

Symbolism
Related to humans as humans born with different limbs and features aren't thrown out like fruit and veg but they are treated differently and pushed aside.
Consumers when they go to the supermarket to buy food are picky with which produce they buy when they shouldn't as all the produce has gone through a harsh rubric to isolate the perfect produce from the not. If consumers are picky with the produce then the supermarket should make an effort to keep it fresh and clean, so that more food is not wasted.
This strawberry while cute and pretty you would not be able to purchase it as it does not fit the criteria of a normal strawberry
At Woolworth you can buy wonky fruit and veg
People are starving and don't have food and yet we are throwing out perfectly good food
To much food is made so the leftovers are thrown out

What does my response look like?
Take a picture of oddly shaped fruit and/or veg and then add eyes, mouths, human features
Draw on human features to make the fruit look oddly shaped

In colour
Having fruit in colour but then human features in black and white
Add objects like rulers to symbolize how if for example a banana is too shot is it thrown out, or if it's too long its thrown out.
