The Knights
Wealthy and powerful
Knights were usually wealthy people, with being able to have good armor and expensive warhorses.

The lance was one the was mostly favoured because of it's ability to keep a distance between the knight and the foot knight
If it had to happen, Knights used their shield as a weapon to defend themselves from the apposing knights
Events
Jousting Tournaments
Jousting tournaments were where there would be two knights who were on horseback, having a lance in hand and charging at the other knight trying to push them off their horse
It was a really dangerous sport because you could die from being stabbed or falling off the horse, but people still found it fun to watch so that is why it was continued

While pilgrims were on crusades, knights would accompany and protect them while they were out.

Armour
Armor was a very useful thing to have if you were a knight, though it was heavy and awkward to wear so things were a bit difficult to do when there was a heavy load on you most of the time
The armor used to be just a piece of cloth wrapped around the person, but over time the armor was changed into a full body (one piece) suit made of steel. It got changed again to chain mail so that it was easier to move around.

It's because gunpowder would break/explode the armor that the knights wore so there was no point in wearing it and even if the knights were able to survive the explosion, they would still die from the injuries that they got
