In the 1960's democracy became the political model to be imitated not only in Venezuela, but in Latin America.
From 1980 and on, corruption has remained high in Venezuela.

Certain countries had direct impact in the war, going into a great depression just like bigger countries.
Other countries revolted, and World War II gave them a reason to head towards democracy.
