competition
competition was shown when buck was fight other dog the man in the red sweater and alot of dogs but the man competition was between his wild side and his civilized side ad in the end his wild side wins when his last civilized side tie is cut
suffering
this is shown in many spots in this book but one spot is when buck and some other dogs are under the care of Hal, Charles and Mercedes the dogs are under fed never get any rest and are overworked and are undergoing suffering
free will
you could say free will is show in the book when buck chose's to live in the wild vs civilizations but you could also say he didn't have free will and that the call of the wild pushed him twords the wild side of himself whether he liked it or not so in realty free will depends more on how you view it well in my opion
