Buck:The main character has to learn how to survive the harsh conditions that he is forced to live in or he will die at first he lived a lovely life in California but the got kidnapped and forced to work as a sled dog he gains strength and learns how to live in worst conditions he has ever been in.

Curly: she was the first deaf buck witnessed she showed the conditions and how harsh it could be in this new life he was living in

Dave: Dave was on the sled team with buck and was in the front of the sled he soon got very sick and weak but still tried to lead the sled but his owner denied it and shot him dead

Sol-leks: was one of the more "supporting" characters who didn't like when anyone approached his blind side

Spitz: Was the main characters (Buck) rival and they would always compete to be on the top but one day buck finally was done with him and the fought to the deaf and buck won
