Characters
Buck- is a dog use to being a natural leader and guard of his home.He was taken to be a sled dog in northern Canada to transport gold for two French man.This act transformed him from a civilized dog to a wild beast.
Spitz- is a unfair leader who is very aggressive towards the sled dogs but especially Buck.He attacks Buck and was eventually killed by Buck.
Sol-leks- is a old wise dog that lead by example.He was kind of a aggressive dog but did not pick fights. He died.
Perrault- is one of the men who bought Buck and took him up north to make him part of his sled team to transport gold.He sold Buck and never saw him again
Francois- is one of the men who bought Buck and took him up north to make him part of his sled team to transport gold. He sold Buck and never saw him again.

The man in the red sweater- is the man who taught Buck and other dogs that man and club have power over the dogs.
Dave- was part of the dog sled team who showed the amount of the perseverance they had before he died.

Competition- was shown by the dogs when they would compete to keep and steal their rations. Also, when Buck was still with Francois and Perrault, Spitz and Buck would compete to be leader.

Perseverance- was shown by the sled dogs specifically Dave, the dog who died trying to be in the traces. He gave everything he had to get his spot in the traces.
Defeat- was shown when Buck killed Spitz, the strong fierce leader of the dogs, and became leader.
