Buck - Buck is a dog who was sold off into Northern Canada and has adapted to a lifestyle of survival of the fittest. He's part of a mush group and has dethroned previous leader, Spitz.
Curly - Curly was Bucks companion during the boat trip to the North. He is a happy upbeat character.
Spitz - Spitz was the leader of the pack and is described as a "devilish" character. Spitz, non-intentionally taught Buck to be more selfish and aggressive.
Judge Miller - Judge Miller is Bucks owner who owns a plantation in California.
Perrault and Francois - Two Canadian men who are first new masters. They work for the Canadian government.
