Curly- was one of Buck's best friends, when they were on the boat trip to the North. Curly died

Manuel- is a Mexican dog, he is a gardener. Because of hid gambling debts, he sold Buck.

The Judge- is Buck's owner, he owns a huge plantation in California's Santa Clara Valley.

John Thornton- is the man that rescued Buck. He is the man that Buck became immensely devoted to.

Francois- is one of two of Buck's masters. They work for the Canadian government, delivering dispatches.

Plot

Exposition- Buck got stolen from his family and was gave to a man who sold him as a sled dog.

Rising Action- When Buck was passes between different owners. Right after he was taken from Francois and Perrault.

Climax- John Thornton rescuing Buck.

Falling Action- Thornton reviving Buck back to his former health. Also, Thornton dies.

Resolution- Buck chose to live in the wild.
