We are creating a class mind map of the different kinds of leadership styles.
In groups, you will have 5 minutes on each leadership style. In this time you should research and add information or examples to each leadership style.
E.g. add a definition, images, historical examples, modern day examples, leadership attributes or characteristics associated with this leadership style, positives of this style, negatives of this style, interesting facts, etc.
Authoritarian
Authoritarian is a leadership style where an individual has control over all decisions and the group members only have a restricted amount of authority.

Authoritarian leaders, are leaders with executive power and exercise full control over employees or subjects

Paternalistic
The leader treats their employees and business partners as extended family, and expect loyalty trust and obedience in return
Executive leaders may view employees as important stakeholders. This means that they may prioritise employee needs over interests of investors.

Paternalistic leaders heads organizations where employees may be treated like partners, in exchange for increased trust and loyalty.

A democratic leader is somebody who allows more input from other members of the group, so a modern example of this would be current leaders, or business companies similar to Bill Gates who sometimes takes input from others
Definition

all eligible citizens have the right to participate, either directly or indirectly
Democracy is a system of government where the citizens exercise power by voting to choose who leads the country or state.
Modern Democracy exists in two forms, representative and pure. In a pure democracy, there is no government, every single person has a vote on every single issue brought up. Everyone in the nation is automatically in the parliament. Pure democracy only exists in some small Scandinavian communities.In a representative democracy, everyone elects a parliament and the parliament makes decisions on behalf of everyone.

The definition of laissez faire is the theory that governments should have a very minimal regulation of commerce or that people should be able to do what they want without interference. An example of laissez faire are the economic policies held by capitalist countries.
